
Idli milagaai podi | paruppu podi Idli milagaai podi is a very good alternate for chutney and sambar. It can be eaten with idli, dosa, paniyaram mix with sesame oil or ghee. The crisp tastes comes with an ingredient. Let us see what to be added for that. This is a simple recipe but carefully roasting, the measurement are important. Few people roast with little oil and I haven't added any oil into it. The shelf life of this "Podi" is at least 2-3 months and we can store inside the refrigerator upto 6 months time. Its really helpful for those working women, bachelors and newly married couples who are very new to cooking. Try this and enjoy!!! Ingredients: 1 cup split black gram ( Ulutham paruppu / urad dal) 3/4 cup bengal gram ( kadalai paruppu/ chana dal) 1 1/2 Tblsp white sesame seed 1 1/2 Tblsp horse gram ( kollu paruppu) 10-15 red dry chillies 1 tsp asafetida salt Direction: Dry roast all the ingredients one by one. And keep it in a plate. After 10-15 mins grind coarsely. Serve with sesame oil / ghee.
