
Vendaikkai poriyal | lady’s finger fry | okra fry | Bhindi fry : வெண்டைக்காய் பொரியல் Ladys finger is a delicious vegetable, my whole family love it very much. One of favourite vegetables of my sister and also my daughter. We use lady’s finger for making vendaikai fry, bhindi crispy pakoda, vendaikkai puli kulambu, vendaikkai sambar, etc., This recipe makes the work very simple and delicious and sure soon it will be your favourite too. Ingredients: 18-20 lady’s finger 1 1/2 Tbsp sesame oil 1/2 tsp mustard seeds 2 tsp bengal gram 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp chilli powder Curry leaves Salt Direction: Wash the lady finger and dry it on a towel, wipe well. Cut it into small slices. ( Microwave it for 5-6 mins is an optional which reduces the cooking time) Heat oil and fry mustard seeds and bengal gram then sauté onion and curry leaves together. Add the lady’s finger into the pan, add turmeric, chilli powder and salt and sauté it over low to medium heat for about 5 mins. Once the color turns to brown then off the flame serve with rice.
